Mt.Kun has been successfully summitted by the members of OFMT, RFI.
On the 27th July 9am member Ashim Ghosh alongwith two sherpa members climbed the peak. They started the summit march at 1.30am at night. All the members are in good physical condition, said Leader Shri Samrat Basu. This is his second expedition as a leader and the first one was another summit and record.
We are going to Mt.Kun(7085m) in J&K for our anual expedition
OFMT climbers are targeting one of the challenging and over 7000m peak Mt.Kun(7085m) in J&K this year. 9member team including leader Shri.Samrat Basu are departing city on the 5th of July, 2010. We need all your well wishes.

Rock Climbing Course at Susunia Hills completed successfully
Our 23rd rock climbing course at Susunia Hills, Bankura is been completed successfully and the full team arrived Club house in the 25th Dec morning 6.30am. The number of trainees was 40 and including officlial member and instructors the course was of 64members.
Participants are requested to report the club authority within 9pm on 21st Dec. The bus will be depart from the club house.

23rd Rock Climbing Course is finalized at Susunia Hills, Bankura from 22nd Dec to 24th Dec, 09. This four days course will contain rock climbing, rappeling, boulder negotiation, river crossing (if possible) etc activities. First Civilian Summit to Mt.Deoban (6852m) in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand
Ordnance Factories Mountaineers & Trekkers, Rifle Factory Ishapore has scaled Mt.Deoban (6852m) in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand on the 28th Aug, 09 as the First Civilian Team. Before OFMT ITBP climbed this peak on 2002. After their summit there was no climb to this peak. A 9 member team has started their journey from Kolkata on 10th Aug with 3 Sherpas. The established their Base Camp on 17th Aug at Eri Udiyar (13065ft). After 3 days of load ferry to Camp-I they established Camp-I on 21st Aug. There was 5 Camps established after the Base Camp. The 4member summit team started their summit march at 7.00AM on 28th Aug and reached the summit at 3.00PM and returned to the Summit Camp at 7.20PM. The Leader of this successful team was Shri Samrat Basu. The rest of the members were Tapas Dey (summit), Prosenjit Bagchi (summit), Ashim Ghosh (summit), Biplab Chatterjee, Paramesh Chatterjee, Sourav Goswami, Deolal Sah, Debanshu Mukherjee
Trek to Kuanri Pass in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand from 4th Oct to 17th Oct, 09
Ordnance Factories Mountaineers & Trekkers, Rifle Factory, Ishapore has arranged their Annual Family trek to Kuanri Pass in Garhwal Himalaya, Uttarakhand from 4th Oct, 09 to 17th Oct, 09 (Kolkata - Kolkata). The team is moving from Kolkata on the 4th Oct evening with 6 official members and 62participants. This participant are including 6 to 60 years of ages and from all the works of life. People interested in this trekking programme are requested to contact the club authority to take participation.
